Le 14e Forum a pour thème « Réalités féministes: notre pouvoir en action ».

Nous concevons les Réalités féministes comme différentes façons d’exister et d’être qui nous révèlent ce qui est possible, au mépris et malgré les systèmes de pouvoir dominants, et en résistance à ces derniers. Nous concevons ces réalités féministes comme des revendications et des incarnations d’espoir et de pouvoir, et comme des réalités multidimensionnelles, dynamiques et ancrées dans des contextes et des moments historiques spécifiques.

Lindiwe Rasekoala is a life coach who specializes in intimacy and relationship wellness coaching. She is a sexual health enthusiast and online contributor. Through her own experiences and unconventional methods of research, she believes she can bridge the education gap and lack of access to information around sexual wellness. She is a contributor on various radio and television shows, and has completed her coach training with the Certified Coaches Alliance. Lindiwe’s mission is to break down the barriers to conversations around sexual wellness and to empower her clients to achieve greater understanding of themselves so that they can experience a more healthy and holistic lifestyle and relationships. 

Nous avons toujours veillé à ce que nos Forums soient développés conjointement avec nos partenaires, nos mouvements et nos groupes prioritaires.

Pour cette édition 2020, nous visons à approfondir et renforcer cet esprit et cette pratique de co-création et de collaboration. Nous reconnaissons également la nécessité d’améliorer l’équilibre entre l’inclusion de nombreuses voix et les expériences, tout en laissant aux participant-e-s et au personnel la possibilité de respirer, faire une pause et profiter de certains temps d’arrêt.

Ce Forum sera différent des diverses façons suivantes: 

• Nous aurons beaucoup moins d’activités sur le Forum car nous voulons que les personnes aient le temps de s’impliquer, d’expérimenter, d’assimiler, de se parler, etc. C’est un élément fondamental à la communication: vous pouvez venir au Forum, être très impliqué-e et actif-ve et n’animer aucune activité organisée (ou “session”). 
• Nous aurons des espaces ouverts - au moins une après-midi entière sans activité organisée - mais aussi des espaces physiques disponibles sur toute la durée du Forum pour que les personnes puissent organiser elles-mêmes des réunions, etc.  
• Nous avons un Comité « contenu et méthodologie » composé de féministes provenant de différentes régions et possédant une expertise sur les méthodologies participatives pour nous soutenir, et encourager tou-te-s ceux-celles menant des activités sur le Forum à utiliser des formats créatifs et attrayants.

Our tactics

We advance our work through these tactics:

Influencing, advocacy and campaigning

We collaboratively leverage our access, power, resources and relationships to strategically influence policy and practice. We aim to advance feminist agendas through our work with policy makers, funders and activists in regional and global spaces. We also work to influence feminist and women’s rights movements to centre historically oppressed movements as part of efforts to strengthen our collective power and influence.

Convening and connecting

We use our convening power to facilitate dialogue and strategize on key issues. We connect our members and allies with one another, sharing and exchanging resources, ideas and action across relevant issues. We organize and facilitate spaces to strengthen and engage across movements, to imagine and envisage new futures, to develop effective influencing tactics and to co-create powerful agendas and processes.  

Solidarity and bridge-building

We work to mobilize our members and the movements we support to strengthen collective action in solidarity with feminist causes and defenders at risk. We build partnerships, engage in active listening and ongoing, long-term, solidarity. We work with defenders to build a body of knowledge and support networks of solidarity on protection and wellbeing.

Arts and creative expression

We recognize the unique and strategic value of cultural and creative strategies in the struggle against oppression and injustice. We work with artists who centre feminist voices and the narratives of historically oppressed communities. In this emerging tactic, we see art and creative expression helping us envision a world where feminist realities continue to flourish and be celebrated. 

Our initiatives

Our initiatives work at the intersections of the sites of change we work to address, the movements we prioritize, and the tactics we use​:

Advancing Universal Rights and Justice

We monitor, document and make visible how anti-rights actors are operating and colluding in multilateral spaces and support feminist, women’s rights and gender justice movements and allies to counter their influence and impact.

Building Feminist Economies

Working on extractivism, tax justice and corporate accountability, we build knowledge on corporate power and influence; advocate for corporate accountability and equitable distribution of wealth; and amplify feminist proposals for just economies. 

Resourcing Feminist Movements

We develop accessible, action-oriented analysis on the state of resourcing for feminist movements. We aim to influence funders’ policies and practices, deepen and sustain funding for feminist social change, and support movements’ needs and strategies. 

In addition to the impact we aim to have in the world, AWID is expressly committed to strengthening our own organizational learning and resilience in order to further strengthen global feminist movements.

إيستر لوبيز  راقصة وكاتبة تركز أبحاثها على الجسد والنوع والعرق والعلاقات الطبقية. هي مدرّبة بيلاتيس ومعلمة فنون. تخرجت إستر في دراسة المسرح المعاصر – العمليات الإبداعية (في FAINC) وفي الرقص والوعي بالجسم (في USCS). يشمل تخصصها الموسيقي الغناء الشعبي والإيقاع. تلقت تدريبًا في “نوفوس برينكانتس” مع فليرا فيرو وماتيوس برادو وأنطونيو مييرا في معهد Brincante في عامي 2015 و 2016.

Contactez-nous

Plusieurs belles choses ont émergé du Forum des féminismes noires (BFF, selon son acronyme anglais),  qui avait été organisé en 2016 par un Groupe consultatif et financé par l’AWID. À l’issue de ce BFF, certaines organisations indépendantes ont ainsi pu voir le jour, telles ques des organisations féministes noires au Brésil. Bien que le BFF n’aura pas lieu cette année, nous nous engageons à partager certains apprentissages clés avec toute personne intéressée à poursuivre le travail d'organisation féministe noire.
