The collective Sentimos Diverso defines itself as a “feminist collective that mobilizes to create and to develop projects and actions aimed at empowering women, young people and people with diverse sexual orientations and gender identities, to demand their human, sexual and reproductive rights.”

For AWID member Meher Bano Mirzayee, experiences and dreams are strongly connected to hard work. The education she completed so far was driven by hard work and the wish to challenge and change the way in which Afghan society views girls and women.

She is an award-winning poet, editor, journalist, public speaker, linguist, educator, peace and women’s rights advocate.
