Call for submissions: OHCHR looking for concrete examples of successful civil society action

OHCHR's civil society section is in the process of preparing a Practical Guide for civil society on follow-up and implementation of recommendations . We feel that this could be a useful document for HRDs in various contexts, and have been working with them on the outline and outreach.

ICPD Beyond 2014 global survey

The undersigned NGOs/CSOs have engaged recently with UNFPA regarding the ICPD Beyond 2014 global survey (http://icpdbeyond2014.org/about/view/2-global-survey). This survey aimed to measure progress, gaps and outstanding issues in relation to the implementation of the ICPD Programme of Action (http://www.unfpa.org/public/home/publications/pid/1973) at the national level, and was intended to be completed with the input of civil society.

Call for Papers: "Creating New Development Paradigms to achieve Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights: Critical Analysis and Reflection"

As the dates set for fulfilment of the ICPD, Beijing and MDG agendas draw closer, the United Nations and its agencies have embarked on a process to define a “new” development agenda. The need for a new agenda is not up for debate, but what should it look like? There is widespread recognition of both the under-fulfilment and the inadequacy of the MDGs in addressing sexual and reproductive health and rights (SRHR). Deadline for paper submissions: May 1-31, 2013.

Feminist Review Trust

The Feminist Review Trust helps to finance projects throughout the world which aim to tackle women's inequality. Small grants are awarded three times each year. While the Trust funds a range of projects, particularly welcome are projects relating to women and young girls with disability. Also, in the light of the growing international campaign to prioritize the issue of violence against women in the post-2015 Millennium Development Goal Agenda, the Trust would welcome projects that seek to tackle this issue.

Call for Papers:: Women’s and Gender Studies et Recherches féministes

WGSRF is now seeking proposals, in either French or English, for its annual conference, held in conjunction with the Congress of the CFHSS/FCSH. Submissions for panels, roundtables, workshops and papers can be made by groups or individuals, and as joint sessions with other associations. Posters can be proposed by individuals or groups.
