Lydia Alpízar Durán is the executive director of the Association for Women's Rights in Development (AWID). She is a Costa Rican feminist activist who lives in Sao Paulo, Brazil.She is co-founder of ELIGE - Youth Network for Reproductive and Sexual Rights (Mexico), of the Latin American and Caribbean Youth Network for Reproductive and Sexual Rights and serves on the boards of the Global Fund for Women and the Central American Women’s Fund.
