Individual Member: Olajumoke Adeyeye

Olajumoke was born in Ibadan, Nigeria. She has a Bachelors in Animal Sciences and Masters in Information Science from the University of Ibadan and completed a Masters in Business Administration in 2009 from the Obafemi Awolowo University. Currently, Olajumoke is a Programme Officer at LaRen Consulting, Ile-Ife. Her primary responsibilities include monitoring and evaluation, technical report writing, gender mainstreaming and HIV/AIDS workplace policy formulation. Olajumoke also works at WISCORD, an NGO which aims to build an informed and gender-equitable society. At WISCORD, she coordinates the Young and Emerging Leaders Initiative (YELI) and ‘Egbe Idera’. YELI builds the capacity of undergraduates in leadership and gender relation, while ‘Egbe Idera’ empowers women to access finance and market information. Olajumoke is a 2011 Fellow of AWARD; a CGIAR project supported by Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and USAID. In 2011, she was also selected as one of the 75 young African and Spanish women undertaking a Master’s program in Empowerment and Leadership in Development Project, supported by AECID, Fundación Mujeres and Fórum Mulher. Married with two children, Olajumoke has a passion towards eliminating gender stereotypes that limit women’s opportunities.
