Feminist Majority Foundation (FMF), which was founded in 1987, is a cutting edge organization dedicated to women's equality, reproductive health, and non-violence. FMF focuses on advancing the legal, social, and political equality of women with men and recruiting and training young feminists to encourage future leadership for the feminist movement in the United States. To carry out these aims, FMF engages in research and public policy development, public education programs, grassroots organizing projects, leadership training and development programs, and participates in and organizes forums on issues of women's equality and empowerment.

The Global Women in Politics Program (GWIP) is a program of The Asia Foundation that advances women's political participation and influence in decision-making. This program supports a wide range of initiatives that increase women's access and participation, including programs in advocacy and leadership, basic rights and security, and economic opportunities. The Internet is used to maximize opportunities to link women leaders and visionaries from all over the world without worrying about the cost, time and geographical barrier.

Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU)

The IPU is the international organization of Parliaments of sovereign States. It was established in 1889. The Union is the focal point for worldwide parliamentary dialogue and works for peace and co-operation among peoples and for the firm establishment of representative democracy. The IPU supports the efforts of the United Nations, whose objectives it shares, and works in close co-operation with it. It also co-operates with regional inter-parliamentary organizations, as well as with international intergovernmental and non-governmental organizations which are motivated by the same ideals. It carries on an active campaign to increase women's political participation, particularly the balanced representation of women and men in parliaments worldwide.

IWRAW Asia Pacific contributes to the progressive interpretation, universalisation, implementation and realisation of women's human rights through the lens of CEDAW and other international human rights treaties. It facilitates a process through which the CEDAW Convention is used as a tool for applying international human rights standards at the national level and in a wide range of contexts, including political participation, armed conflict, rights in marriage, violence against women, trafficking reproductive rights, employment, and others.

The Water Portal of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) contributes to providing comprehensive access to Internet information related to freshwater. It provides links to the current UNESCO and UNESCO-led programmes on freshwater. It serves as an interactive point for sharing, browsing and searching websites of water-related organizations, government bodies and NGOs, including a range of categories such as water links, water events, learning modules and other on-line resources. Surfers can also add or modify links to help maintain an accurate online resource. All water managers are invited to participate by providing information on activities, useful links, news and content, which they wish to share with others and generally make more widely available.
World Water Development Report

The United Nations World Water Development Report (WWDR) provides a comprehensive review of state of the world's freshwater resources. Carrying the theme 'Water for People, Water for life,' the report hopes to provide policy makers with the appropriate tool in making decisions on sustainable use of water. The report reviews progress and trends; proposes methodologies and indicators for measuring sustainability; assesses progress in areas such as health, food, environment, shared water resources, cities, industry, energy, risk management, knowledge, valuing water and governance; and, presents seven pilot case studies of river basins representing various social, economic and environmental settings. The World Water Council acts as the International Water Policy Think Tank dedicated to strengthening the world water movement for an improved management of the world's water resources.
