AWID condemns attack on young WHRD in Pakistan

AWID strongly condemns the attempted assassination of 14-year-old Pakistani school girl and activist, Malala Yousufzai by Taliban militants. We remain vigilant regarding Malala's condition and we are posting relevant information on the situation of WHRDs in Pakistan on this page.

We urge the authorities to bring to account those responsible for this attack and bring an end to the violence against women human rights defenders in Pakistan. We stand in solidarity with Malala Yousufzai and wish her a full and quick recovery.
