Community Development Action Group (CDA Org) is a development oriented organization founded in 2007 by a group of women intellectuals based in Somalia. CDA Org focuses on women’s human rights particularly related to gender-based violence, peace building, economic empowerment, health, reproductive rights, HIV/AIDS, and political participation of women in Somaliland and rest of the world. The organization is dedicated to creating sustainable peace and development in Somaliland through grassroots capacity building, developing youth leadership, empowerment of women, and protection of human rights. CDA Org promotes lasting change in the region and Somaliland by assisting communities including women, girls, youth, disabled, children and homeless, to define and meet their own needs. CDA Org believes that communities have the ability to create sustainable solutions for a range of problems, and envisions a Somaliland community with a better quality of life, strong livelihoods, and empowered women and girls.
