Maïmouna Ouattara/Dao is a resident of Ouagadogou, Burkina Faso. She holds a PhD Diploma in Medicine from the University of Niamey and a Diploma of Specialized Studies from the University of Abidjan. Maïmouna is a Lecturer/Associate Professor in Otolaryngology (ENT) and Neck Surgery as well as a Research Professor at the University of Ougadougou where she also holds the position of Department Deputy. Maïmouna is a founding member and Vice President of the Association for Women in Science of Faso for the Promotion of Education for Girls and Women in Science and Technology (FESCIFA/PRESCITEF). She is also the president of Actions for Sustainable Development (ADD) and the founding member of the committee “Chair Gender, Science, Society, Sustainable Development”. Maïmouna hopes to contribute and promote gender and sustainable development mainstreaming within our societies because for her education requires action. She wishes to share experiences and develop partnerships regionally and worldwide.
